Candy Cane Marshmallow Pops

Can you believe we're already in the first week of December? The weeks are flying by and soon it will be Christmas. There are so many things we have planned for the month: Visiting Santa, seeing the Garden Lights and Snowflake Lane. My mom, daughter and I are also going to our traditional Nieman Marcus lunch that we do every year. The tradition has been that we do our Christmas shopping at the mall or in the past we shopped on Michigan Ave in Chicago and then popped in to have lunch. Now my daughter is old enough to enjoy the tradition and not throw food on the floor. :)

I'm so excited for the baking we have planned this weekend but before we tackle that 2-Day baking marathon, we have my daughters Christmas Market at school. We're going to have a table to sell the handmade ornaments I shared last week. Both the Cupcake Ornament and Pompander Flower Ball Ornament were featured on a couple of blogs and you can find the link up on the Featured page.

Today I wanted to share some Candy Cane Marshmallow Pops my mom wipped up & I think they came out so cute. They are easy to make and hope you enjoy this tutorial.

Ingredients:
  • Large Marshmallows
  • Chocolate Chips to melt and dipping (she used Ghirardelli)
  • Small candy canes, some to put in the marshmallow, and a half a cup of crushed for dipping

Directions:

Stick a mini candy cane into the large marshmallow.  Dip the marshmallow into the melted chocolate and tap the stick on the side of the bowl to allow excess chocolate to drip off, then roll into the crushed candy cane.  Place on a waxed paper lined baking sheet and allow to set. That's it!!
